Children bring their own snacks and lunch. Please send healthy food items such as fruits, vegetables, sprouted seeds, whole-wheat sandwiches, vegetable salads, idlis and chapathis. Do not send chewing gum, chocolates, non-vegetarian food and bakery products such as chips, cakes and mixture. Please send food items that the child likes and quantities that the child can eat without wasting. Avoid food made from refined flour as they are low in fiber.

Birthday Celebrations

Children celebrate birthdays in school by distributing healthy food items such as fresh fruits or dry fruits and nuts. Chocolates and cakes are not allowed. Use paper wrappers instead of plastic to pack the snacks. Avoid exchanging any kind of gifts.

Long ear hangings, chains, bangles, anklets, flowers and dupattas are a distraction for the child while working and should be avoided. Children should wear footwear that can be worn and removed easily.

Festivals are celebrated in school prior to the actual day of the festival. Children can come to school in traditional clothes for all the celebrations.

Observation For Parents

Parents are welcome to the House of Children to observe the children at work. We request you to inform the respective class teacher beforehand and fix a time for observation.

Meetings With Parents

Group meetings are organized thrice a year – once during each term. Individual meetings are organized twice/ thrice a year. Both parents are requested to attend these meetings in the interest of their children. The meetings will enable the parents and other family members to become familiar with the Montessori Method, be in touch with their children’s progress and clarify any questions.

Apart from the meetings mentioned above parents can also meet the educators on Thursdays/ Fridays between 2.30 and 3.30 p.m.
